Where Do We Go From Here
A Novel by Sharon Wynns
Ken dated Cassie ten years earlier until he left Georgia and returned to Wenatchee, Washington. They remained friends and his invitation to attend an intentional community convention in Seattle, instigated a road trip. The idea of seeing Ken again stirs up old feelings that conflict with her lifelong decision to remain unmarried and independent, but her awareness of needing to prepare for the next stage of her life is calling her.
Labeling themselves, the Audacious Endeavorers, Cassie, Grace, Jolie, and Rick take a three-week road trip across the US. Although their backgrounds are diverse, they find a commonality in a sense of adventure and discovery both in the physical world through which they travel, and the world within.
Rick was biding his time, making no obvious moves with Grace… until attractive horseman Gates came on the scene, disrupting the group dynamics. Fifteen years younger than Cassie, Grace is taking her own journey of independence. Reclusive by nature, joining these relative strangers is a big step, and will take her outside her comfort zone. Jolie’s sense of humor, avid curiosity, and occasional demands for a reality check, keep things lively.
Each finds their own endeavors to be truly—audacious. A journey that takes them through a country full of natural beauty, human creativity, and self-discovery. All is well?
Reviewers' Remarks
My husband and I both read it. He couldn't put it down and commented on how much research she must have done to describe the locations and landscapes.
Just like the eagles in the story, I could see how the characters each found a way to rise above their situations. I can see this being made into a movie. -Jeanette & Clendon Bagwell
What a wonderful story of friendship, trust, self-discovery, and growth! I think anyone regardless of age or gender will enjoy this! -TG
The beginning drew me in like an old familiar song and wove the lives of the group of friends and their adventure into a fabric that aptly describes the thoughts and challenges that we explore during life. What is it we really want to do with our lives now? How do we approach relationships now? What feels best for us living our most joyful life? The book explored these concepts and more and yet left room for further exploration. -EM
I was drawn to the story from the beginning and intrigued to the end. The story flows beautifully and I would recommend this book to young and mature adults. It’s a guidebook to life choices and facing regrets that sometimes occur. I’ve always loved a good story, and I would select this book for myself. Overall, it's a very good work. You will go far, my friend. -ADS

Warrior of the Heart
By Sharon Wynns
Life is a journey, not a destination. In this book, you will find an imaginative world traversed by characters, both human and animal, who represent many aspects of my psyche. The two main characters, Turtle and Butterfly – one reclusive and prone to ponder rather than act, the other flighty, ethereal, and more outgoing – have decided to take a journey that will lead them into the unknown. Their journey is one of self-discovery that encourages trusting oneself as they explore many of the truths I have come to claim as my own. Ultimately, and together with the other characters they meet along the way, both human and animal, they create a strong sense of unity, a foundation with which to continue their life adventures. In a very real sense, this is a self-help book set within a story.
